About the Role

The Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Product Team at Commure + Athelas powers the core operating system for our practices. Our product—Insights—provides practice staff and administrators with everything they need to efficiently manage operations. We maintain 150+ customer-facing features, from high-level reports and visualizations to workflow automation tools that help practices maximize revenue.

As a Senior Front End Engineer, you will lead the design and development of scalable, responsive, and intuitive user interfaces for our web applications, ensuring an exceptional user experience as we expand to support thousands of practices nationwide. You will also mentor team members, drive frontend technical strategy, and collaborate with product and clinical stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Design, implement, and maintain frontend architecture for web applications that support AI-powered healthcare solutions

  • Lead technical planning and execution for new features, balancing technical feasibility, usability, and business impact

  • Establish and enforce best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment

  • Ensure applications are secure and HIPAA-compliant, handling sensitive healthcare data responsibly

  • Mentor junior engineers, guiding frontend engineering, design patterns, and coding standards

  • Lead code reviews and architectural discussions to maintain system performance, reliability, and scalability

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and clinical experts to translate requirements into intuitive and efficient UI solutions

What You Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience)

  • 5–7 years of professional frontend development experience, with strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and React

  • Experience building high-quality, maintainable, and scalable frontend applications in production environments

  • Strong understanding of CSS, Tailwind, and design systems

  • Strong understanding of state management libraries (Zustand, react-query, etc.)

  • Ability to translate designs into responsive, accessible, and pixel-perfect UIs

  • Experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and frontend build processes

  • Knowledge of performance optimization and frontend monitoring tools

  • Familiarity with backend technologies, cloud infrastructure, and RESTful APIs is a plus

  • Awareness of AI integration in web applications is a plus

  • Experience mentoring junior engineers and providing technical leadership

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from designers to product managers to clinical teams

  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to make sound technical decisions

  • Able to translate complex technical concepts into understandable insights for non-technical audiences
