Healthcare is a $4.5 trillion industry with more than $500 billion spent annually on administrative costs, and Commure is at the heart of transforming it. We power over 500,000 clinicians across hundreds of care sites nationwide – more than $10 billion flows through our systems and we support over 100 million patient interactions. With new product launches on the horizon, expansion into additional care segments, and a bold vision to tackle healthcare's most pressing challenges, our ambition is to move from upstart innovator to the industry standard over the next few years.
Commure was recently named to Fortune’s Future 50 list for 2025 and is backed by world-class investors including General Catalyst, Sequoia, Y Combinator, Lux, Human Capital, 8VC, Greenoaks Capital, Elad Gil, and more. Commure has achieved over 300% year-over-year growth for the past two years and this is only the beginning. About the Role:
We are looking for a highly technical individual to identify, design, build, and scale automation solutions across one of the most critical and operationally complex areas of Revenue Cycle Management: denial management.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role, ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity and has deep experience solving complex problems end to end- from discovery and root cause analysis through deployment and measurable impact.
You will operate at the intersection of operations, data, and product to uncover high-impact problem areas, design and build scalable solutions that prevent denials, resolve them automatically when they occur, and eliminate manual, time-consuming processes and waste. Your work will directly improve operational efficiency and drive meaningful financial outcomes for both our clients and Commure.
This is a high-impact, highly visible role with full ownership over outcomes. As Commure continues to scale, the scope, influence, and complexity of this role will grow rapidly.
What You’ll Do:
Evaluate end-to-end denials management systems and processes to identify systemic gaps, bottlenecks, and automation opportunities
Design and build scalable solutions using SQL, APIs, scripts, and emerging technologies, including LLMs and agentic AI
Build dashboards and reporting pipelines to monitor process health and measure the outcomes of initiatives
Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Account Management to deploy and scale AI-driven capabilities across customers
Mentor junior team members on complex technical projects, providing guidance on analysis, implementation, and best practices
What You Have:
3+ years of experience in operations, consulting, or data-heavy roles at a tech company or fast-paced startup
Strong SQL fluency - comfortable querying, analyzing, and structuring data to drive insights and automation
Excellent problem-solving and systems-thinking skills; able to diagnose root causes and design scalable solutions
Proven ability to manage complex projects end-to-end, working autonomously in ambiguous, fast-changing environments
Bonus: Experience in healthcare operations, claims, or billing systems
Bonus: Experience building or integrating workflows via APIs, Python, or web automation tools (Zapier, Retool, custom scripts, etc.)
Bonus: Built with LLMs, SQL apps or experience with data pipelines
Commure is committed to creating and fostering a diverse team. We are open to all backgrounds and levels of experience, and believe that great people can always find a place. We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations to all applicants throughout the application process.
