Role Overview
As the Manager of Partnerships, you will lead our efforts to establish, grow and manage partnerships with organizations that align with Athena’s brand and key objectives for today and in the future. By leveraging your partnerships expertise and leadership skills, you will play a key role in expanding and diversifying our customer base, creating value for our clients, maximizing sales opportunities by generating leads and deals through our sales partnerships and achieving business objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management
Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the Revenue Team, promoting accountability, teamwork, and professional development.
Strategy Development and Execution
Develop and implement effective strategies to define, target and engage prospective partnership opportunities, working in alignment with VP Sales and our goals and objectives.
Identify and target partnership opportunities with industry segments and/or customer profiles to impact sales efforts and diversify our source of leads and deals while achieving overall goals for growth and efficiency.
Collaborate with CRO and VP Sales, marketing, product, and other cross-functional teams to align initiatives with overall business objectives and go-to-market strategies.
Optimization of Performance
Continuously monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and sales data to identify areas for improvement and implement actionable insights with partnership strategy and execution.
Ensure that our partners are recognizing real business value from their partnership with Athena and make adjustments or improvements on an ongoing basis,
Cross-functional Collaboration
Partner closely with marketing and sales teams to develop targeted strategies, messaging, content, events and creative approaches to support our new client acquisition efforts.
Work closely with sales and enablement teams to ensure alignment of processes, systems, and resources to support partnership efforts.
Reporting and Performance Management
Establish and maintain comprehensive reporting systems to track partnership performance with respect to sales goals, pipeline metrics, and revenue forecasts and contribution.
Provide regular updates, performance reports, and insights to senior management and stakeholders on partnership contribution to sales activities, goals, achievements, and challenges.

Strong analytical skills and proficiency in leveraging data and metrics to drive sales performance and decision-making.

Competencies
Proven track record of success in strategizing, identifying and establishing new sales partnerships with a broad range of organizations, businesses, industries and stakeholders to generate results that directly drove business growth and objectives.
Deep understanding of partnerships that drive top of funnel sales while creating value for higher-level business goals (example - brand image).
Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), sales tools, and productivity software.
Results-oriented mindset with a passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and driving positive business outcomes.
Relevant Experience Required
Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in a partnerships or business development role, with a proven track record of success in establishing and managing key partnerships to drive results
Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on achieving revenue targets and business objectives.
Strong background in sales partnerships, preferably across multiple industries, with a deep understanding of how to create value for both sides of the partnership
Educational and Certification Requirement
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field
MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
Relevant certifications such as Certified Sales Professional (CSP) or Sales Management Certification can be advantageous but are not mandatory.
