Summary
As a Customer for Life Payroll Consultant, you will be the cornerstone of our clients' ongoing payroll success. This role blends technical expertise, consultative problem-solving, and customer advocacy to help businesses optimize their payroll processes over the long term. You’ll manage work item tickets, deliver training, and ensure clients consistently experience value from our payroll solutions.
What you'll do:
As a Customer for Life Consultant, you are responsible for the ongoing support and optimization of payroll operations for enterprise clients. This includes managing complex configuration changes and leveraging advanced Java calculation knowledge to ensure accuracy, compliance, and tailored payroll solutions.
- Proactive Relationship Management 
 Build trust and rapport through regular check-ins, tailored advice, and strategic guidance aligned to each customer's business needs.
- Continuous Payroll Optimization 
 Provide consultative insights to refine payroll processes, identifying opportunities for automation, compliance, and efficiency improvements.
- Work Item Ticket Resolution 
 Manage and resolve customer-submitted tickets using systems like Zendesk, Jira, or Zoho CRM. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate resolutions.
- Education & Training 
 Deliver ongoing training and resources to empower customers to use payroll tools effectively.
- Issue Resolution 
 Troubleshoot and resolve payroll-related challenges professionally and promptly.
- Feedback Loop Management 
 Act as the voice of the customer, collecting feedback and relaying insights to internal teams to drive product and service improvements.
- Collaboration 
 Work closely with cross-functional teams including product, sales, and support to deliver seamless customer experiences.
- System Testing 
 Test new system functionality following prescribed processes.
- General Duties 
 Stay up to date with the latest system functionality and maintain high standards of service excellence.
-  Billable Target Manage your client portfolio to ensure timely, high-quality payroll implementations, while consistently meeting your monthly billable hours goal. 
Key Qualifications:
- Full knowledge of payroll and basic HR legislation. 
- Experience with African country payroll legislation. 
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in PaySpace payroll consulting. 
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word). 
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Jira, ServiceNow). 
- JavaScript or similar programming experience. 
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities. 
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 
- Ability to work well under pressure.
