We're looking for a talented Contract Product Designer to join our team and help us build new contractor-facing products to help serve America’s construction middle market.

As a Contract Product Designer at Shepherd, you will be responsible for designing and creating engaging and intuitive user interfaces for our web applications. You will work closely with our product, engineering and customer experience teams to understand user needs, gather feedback, and iterate on designs to ensure a delightful user experience.

Responsibilities

• Create user-centered designs that align with our product strategy and vision
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to define and refine product features and user stories
• Design high-fidelity prototypes, wireframes, and user interfaces for web and mobile applications
• Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and iterate on designs
• Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and design patterns for consistent branding and design standards
• Stay up-to-date with design trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve the user experience

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in product design, preferably in the insurtech or fintech industry
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work, including UX/UI design, design systems, and user research
• Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools like InVision or Proto.io
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
• Experience working in a startup or seed-stage company is a plus
